About this house sitting position in Lakes Entrance

medium size house on landscaped and grassed 3/4acre. Native, non-native, well grown windbreaks, formal rose/perennial garden and the vegies, don't forget the vegie patch. As this is a winter sit, maintenance is minimal. Some mowing for tidiness is all we would expect. We are in a court situation, neighbours are all known to each other and our immediate neighbor is very caring. We have two silky terrier adult dogs, 1M,1FM, although female is not in good health and we are on watch and alert, so sadly there may only be one little doggie to mind. Both love walks, diet will be well documented and although a bit choosy they are good eaters. Used to being left with sitters, settle right in wiith new Dad and Mum with ease. Or so we are told. House is placed in a northerly aspect and gets wonderful sun all day throughout winter. Centrally heated, although we do not use this much as we have ample wood supply and use a coonarra style heater primarily. There is also an opportunity to take over my op shop volunteer work for Uniting Church if you are so inclined. Great way to get to know people, and you would be very welcome if you are interested in that sort of activity. Plenty of eateries here as this is a tourist stop-over, coffee shops, RSL Bowls club etc and we even have a French cheffed restaurant at present. Golf course, a good indoor pool and gym, Bairnsdale is 40ks away and with Aldi apparently set to open here in new Year there is good everyday shopping. We have an OK Safeway/Woolworths and a Foodworks. Be good to have the competition of Aldi is how we all feel. Look forward to hearing from you, regards, Ruth Widdowson. Read more...
