Hi Sitters,

We are looking for a trustworthy individual or couple to house-sit for us while we travel over the Christmas period this year. We have a very large and needy St. Bernard, so you'd need to love and be comfortable around big dogs. "Needy" only in the sense that he needs a lot of love and attention. He is the biggest softie around... Normally he comes to work with me so he is not accustomed to being on his own for long or extended periods. For that reason, I'm looking for somebody who is likely to be around for the majority of the period. If you're looking for a base to use for night stays / working in the city etc., this one probably isn't suitable for you. He likes to sleep indoors next to the humans (on the floor), so ideally you're a person who really loves dogs rather than just tolerates them. He is awesome with all people and all dogs. He thrives around kids so we're open to a family. He sheds (a lot!) so you'd need to comfortable with that and comfortable doing a lot of vacuuming.

Our home is a 3-bed single story (1 is a toddler's bedroom). Pretty basic, nothing too fancy but has all the mod-cons. Great outdoor space, large garden, bbq on the deck etc. We live in a dense residential area, and have families with young kids on all sides, so partying is not an option. Lane Cove Village is a short walk away. Happy to answer any questions etc.
