About this house sitting position in Lynwood

My partner and I will be heading overseas on the night of Friday 16 December 2022 and returning on the night of Friday 6 January 2023 and we hope to find someone to house and pet sit for our beautiful greyhound - Georgia. We are unwilling to have our greyhound stay at the kennels due to her being an older dog.

Georgia is really easy to look after. She's very placid and loves to be close to people. She may not be a cuddly dog, but she shows affection in her own unique way. She also loves being her human's shadow... following the person everywhere they go.

We live in a 3 by 1 house. You will have a cosy guest room that is away from the busy street. There is also parking space if you have a car. It's secure parking as our house is gated.

The person who is happy to house and pet sit for us will need to be neat and tidy. We would also like to have a plant lover or someone who wouldn't mind looking after indoor plants. We also have a compost bin in our front yard where you can throw all your organic food scrapes into the compost and add some dry leaves. You are very welcome to help with the weeding, but it is not necessary.

We are situated in a prime location:
- 14 to 20 mins drive to the City or get the 930 bus to head into the city and back
- buses to take you to Cannington Station, Thornlie Station or Bull Creek Station
- 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive to Carousel Shopping Centre
- 2 mins drive to Lynwood IGA (local shopping district for basic necessities or groceries)
- 2 mins walk to a local GP
- 10 mins drive to Vic Park for all the great eateries

You are very welcome to use the facilities we have in our home - kitchen, laundry, air conditioning, food in the pantry etc. Basically we want you to feel like you are in your home for the next 2 weeks of your stay. You are also very welcome to use our internet - 250G worth of downloads - and we will provide you with our Netflix details where you can chill at home and watch movies/tv series to your heart's content.

Despite Georgia being a greyhound, she is the fastest couch potato on earth! Meaning, she sleeps 18 hours a day and don't need much exercise. In the morning before work, if you are able to give her a 10 minute walk and after work in the evening another 15 minutes will be sufficient. You are able to leave her for 8 hours by herself while you go to work, this isn't an issue to her at all as she is used to having her own space during the day when we are at work. We will definitely provide you with a briefing on how to care for Georgia and information on how to get to places to make your stay easy and comfortable.
