MY ANIMALS
My animals are mostly all rescue. They have either been abandoned, rescued from a cruel environment or just not able to survive in the wild. Taking care of them is reasonably low maintenance, but an early riser is a must as my dog likes to walk early to do her business. She will nag you as she is regular and by the clock.
I currently have a French bulldog, one cat, 10 chooks, one duck and a couple of lorikeets. They are all just going about their day and as long as they are fed and watered, they aren’t a bother.


MY HOME
I have a 1/4 acre property on an Island in the South Moreton Bay Island network. My property has extensive fruit and berry trees and also many vegetable gardens. This is a very quiet island surrounded by nature walks and mangroves. The east side of my home has views of North Stradbroke and my balcony is the best place to watch the sunrise. Usual streaming services like Netflix, Kayo, Binge, BritBox, Paramount are all available and the NBN here is pretty good. If you have a car, return barge fees will be paid by me. If at any time you wish to go to mainland to visit large shopping centre, then it's an 18min ferry ride and 15min bus and you are at Victoria Point Shopping Centre. I suggest you use public transport as the barge will cost you $150 return if you take your car. Island Life is about shopping trolleys and a slow paced way of living

THE ISLAND
On the island we have a couple of small supermarkets, health food store, a couple of cafes, bowls club, golf club, medical centre, dentist, hardware and bakery. The pub has a Bistro kitchen and they also have live music on Sunday afternoons.
At the top of the island, there is a park with a roped off swimming area. This is a lovely 10min walk from the house. Plenty of nature walks, yoga sessions and artist workshops make for a kind to the soul environment.

SUITABLE FOR.......
Because this is an island, travellers, people working from home, gap year student or retired person's would be best suited as travelling daily to 'work' would be a bit of an issue. This is Island life. Spontaneity doesn't exist.
The perfect sitter for this sit is someone who likes the quiet, nature, seeing the stars, enjoys bird & wildlife noises.
This is a unique sit in the sense it is mildly remote so If you want some time out from mainland hustle and bustle, then it may just suit. Read more...
