About this house sitting position in Penrith

Hi, I am looking for a house sitter (single or couple) to look after my house while i am away overseas for 6 weeks, which includes minding my sweet and affectionate Jack Russell Terrier - Toby (male, 6 years old) and my beautiful cats - Daisy (female, 4 years old) and Lucy (ginger, 1 year).

My home is simple but comfortable with reverse cycle air- conditioning to keep the house at a comfortable temperature when needed. The house needs general cleaning to keep it tidy (including cleaning out 3 cat litterboxes and vacuuming regularly, as the animals do shed fur). My home has 2 bedrooms, a study, and 1 bathroom, so maintaining it is quite easy.

I have a fair sized yard that also needs to be maintained, which consists of mowing lawns, whipper snipping the edges, and also some weeding from time to time.

As far as looking after the animals go, i need someone who is comfortable with and loves both cats and dogs, and is willing to take them to my local vet if necessary (i will have an account set up there in the event that an emergency pops up and they do need a visit, meaning that you would not be out of pocket). The dog (Toby) does require walking each day and lives indoors with me.
It would be necessary for whoever housesits, to settle in 2 days prior to my departure (starting on the 22/8) so we can discuss daily pet routines and household details, and so you can also become aquainted with my pets.

I live in a quiet, suburban neighbourhood, and I am located not too far from a beautiful river where I often take scenic walks. It is also great for having picnics and relaxing. I am situated close to the blue mountains and near lots of fantastic bushwalks/hikes for outdoor lovers.
I have a little shopping centre that is a stone's throw away, making it very convenient to buy groceries etc. I have a large westfields shopping centre which is a 10 minute drive away, where there are plenty of stores and cafes, for all your shopping needs.
