About this house sitting position in Port Broughton

Our home is by the sea in a small, friendly town. Our house is small, on one level with a mainly easy care native garden, a collection of succulents and two fishponds. No lawns to mow. We have two small dogs, one who absolutely hates travelling - she's great in the car but turns into a quivering jelly in new places. The girls are a mini dachshund and a mini schnauzer. There are two aquariums to look after, one is a tropical tank the other a cold water saltwater tank that needs minimal care (no coral or marine fish to worry about!). We also have a 'frogarium with two tubby green tree frogs in residence. Port Broughton has a supermarket, chemist, great pub, take away shops and bakeries. There is a doctors surgery and a small hospital. There is an outdoor gym on the seafront and a weekly Parkrun. We are equidistant between Port Pirie and Kadina/Wallaroo - both of which have more major supermarkets and chain stores etc. Adelaide is only a couple oh hours drive away and the Clare valley wineries 40 minutes to the East. We would prefer a single female to sit for us, age irrelevant. We would be looking at a long stay, as we want to see WA before we get too decrepit to enjoy it! Read more...

Reviews for Lynda

5 stars stars
“We spent 6 months in the beautiful York Peninsula bayside town of Port Broughton looking after Lynda and Elizabeth's home for them. They had 2 outdoor fish ponds, an indoor tank of fish, and 2 tropical frogs all of which were easy to look after, the garden was pruned and kept neat for them which was a pleasure for us to do. 2 blocks walk to town meant not having to drive every where, the lovely foreshore has a long pier for walking & watching the evening sunsets. Although it was winter the town is protected by the bay so was not as cold as expected, their driveway is big enough for a car & caravan or motorhome. Being only a 2 hr drive from Adelaide we got to visit the city as well.
We absolutely enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this housesit.

Thank you, Susan and Max
