About this house sitting position in Queanbeyan

Canberra - the perfect place to be in November - not too hot and not too cold! My home is a little piece of paradise in the middle of the bush but 20 minutes from the centre of Canberra and walking distance from the local golf course. I live in a large house on 2 acres with friendly neighbours in walking distance. Although the block is large, most of it is natural bush with tranquility and my own mob of kangaroos.

I have 3 small (3-4kg) poodle/non shedding dogs aged about 13 years (adopted from the pound). They are in good health but one of them has been diagnosed with heart failure and requires medication twice a day at 8.30am and 8.30pm. She is doing fine otherwise. They are all used to being indoor dogs with a reasonable amount of attention. Also another one of them has quite severe separation anxiety so ideally you would be around the home much of the time to limit her barking. I also have budgies (about 3 years old) who are easy care and very cheerful.

The house has a deck for al fresco dining on fine days as you enjoy the serene location with privacy and peace. You will need your own car as there is no public transport. Non smokers only.

Looking for someone who is able to house sit while I attend an overseas conference. I fly out Monday 19 November and return midday on Monday 3 December. Ideally you would be able to get here the evening before I leave to allow you to settle in and leave any time on 3 December.

I am also looking for a house sitter for some other dates that I will be travelling including Thursday 2 August - Tuesday 7 August 5 nights and I would like to take some time out for 2 or 3 days - no specified dates. Let me know if you would be interested in this. Read more...
