About this house sitting position in Ranelagh
Hi there,
We are looking after someone to care for our Border Collie, Basil, whilst we head to the mainland in our caravan for 3 weeks (obviously covid permitting). We would love to take him with us but are struggling with the idea of missing out on so many beautiful national parks!
Our house is just outside of Ranelgah in the huon valley, with Willie Smiths and Home Hill winery just around the corner. It's a cosy 3 bedroom house and has a toasty woodfire to keep you warm during the chilly nights.
My husband and I mostly work from home so Basil is used to having someone around most of the time. Due to the duration of our trip, we would ideally like someone who wouldn't be gone for more than 4 hours a day, Mainly as he is not used to being left for full 8-10hr working days and we don't want to cause extra stress.
He is only 11 months old so has a lot of energy! It would be great to have someone take him out on a walk or to throw the ball at the dog park down the road at least once per day. He is super smart and will love trying to impress you with his waves, bows & fancy tricks :) He also loves cuddles and adventures in the car.
We also have a few house plants that need some TCL whilst we are gone. Having someone prepared to mow the lawn is a bonus, but not essential. Read more...
