About this house sitting position in Rosebery

We require a house and pet sitter from 28th April to 5th June 2020. However, there is flexibility to start a few days earlier.

Our pets are Jessie a mature female Blue Heeler, Zoomer Golden Labrador, about 4 years, we think, and Honey a 2 year old cat. All three animals are rescues. Jessie and Zoomer are quiet, sleep in doors usually in the bedroom. Jessie is a little scared of lightning and storms but just takes herself to a quiet spot when these happen. Zoomer has some separation anxiety but is improving but still likes to sit near you. Zoomer likes a walk twice a day if possible, but can cope with less.

Honey she likes to explore and go outside with the dogs but we always bring her back in when the dogs come in. She uses a litter tray which is changed regularly.

The house is a 3 bedroomed ground level home on a corner plot in the Palmerston suburb of Rosebery. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite. There is an in-ground swimming pool and a fairly low maintenance garden with programmed irrigation. The lawns would need a cut during this time. This takes about 45 minutes with a lightweight Ryobi battery mower. There is Foxtel and NBN broadband with Wi-Fi. All rooms have fans and air conditioning. All windows have fly and security screens so can be left open at night. There is also a BBQ outside and dishwasher in the kitchen

Rosebery is a 5 minute drive from the Palmerston shopping centres. There is bus stop just around the corner that will take you to Palmerston Bus Exchange. Darwin City is a 20 minute drive away as is Casuarina, the other major shopping centre. There are buses that take you to Darwin and Casuarina throughout the day. Litchfield National Park is just over an hour away, Territory Wildlife Park is 30 minutes away, and Kakadu is about 90 minutes. Read more...
