About this house sitting position in Seaford Meadows
Hi! My name is Cassandra and my husband Edward and I live in the south of Adelaide. We are about 35 mins away from the city and just 15 mins from the famous McLaren Vale wine region! We have 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lovely outdoor area.
We have two lovely greyhound dogs- Venus, who is a 3 year old fawn, and Rhythm, an 8 year old black/white. They are very placid in nature, only need a walk every other day, and love to sleep all the time. They are loving, gentle, and very easy to care for. Theyre both ex-racing dogs, and as such are not ever allowed off lead in SA (even in dog parks). Theyre friendly with other dogs and kids, but dont get along well with cats. They love a walk, but never need to go for long - 20 mins is plenty!
Finally, we have a turtle - his name is Voldetort and he gets fed once or twice a week.
We are looking for a house sitter who has experience with dogs. We don't mind if you go out for the day sometimes, as they do okay on their own for up to 6-7 hours or so. They have a doggy door, so toileting isnt an issue (they let themselves out day and night).
We have secure parking as well as on street parking if you need it (even space for a caravan).
We are allergic to cats and prefer no other dogs, as they could upset the harmony we have going if you know what we mean. For this reason we ask you bring no pets with you. You would have your own room and bathroom that we only use for guests, and would therefore not need to access our bedroom/en-suite while we are away. There are vets nearby, and we have family in town who can help if you need it.
We are also 200m from a small shopping center with a supermarket, chemist, discount store, op shop, and a couple of restaurants and specialty stores. We are walking distance from the Seaford Meadows railway station which will take you into the city in 35-40 minutes. We are 5 minutes from the beach, and a mob of kangaroos are currently living down the road!
