About this house sitting position in Shailer Park
SITUATED HALF WAY BETWEEN BRISBANE AND GOLD COAST, HIGH ON A HILL ON OVER HALF AN ACRE, NEAR MORTON BAY AND THE ISLANDS, MOUNTAINS, THEME PARKS AND BEACHES.
A large open plan 4 bedroom, 3 bath house , 2 storey, on over half an acreage. My property is surrounded by trees and birds with views to the mountains and a soft breeze, as it is high up on the hill.
Only 5 minutes drive to the Logan Hyperdome, with supermarkets, various shops, huge cinema, many restaurants, a pub and hotel.
Drive way up to the car parking area is a little steep and there is no room for a caravan etc to turn around. However, there is plenty of parking in that area. The turn around with reversing and going forwards down the drive is fine for 5 to 6 meter vehicles.
30 minutes drive to the Gold Coast, 30 minutes to the Morton Bay and 30 minutes to the CBD Brisbane. Bus terminal just 10 minutes away at the Hyperdome Shopping Centre.
Swimming pool available. A regular clean of the leaf catcher is necessary and to take a test bottle of pool water down to the local pool shop to make sure the water is balanced.
3 furry pets, 2 dogs and one older cat, all needing a kind person, cuddles and walks daily for the dogs.
The dogs need a fortnightly bath which is easy at the DIY hydro bath at the local Pet Barn. I will give you tokens for the use of the hydro bath.
Coby the cat is to be kept in at night, daytime he is outside ‘shooting the breeze’.
Also 11 chickens.
The chicken coop needs a weekly to 10 day max, clean with washing the floors with vinegar and eucalyptus.
There are some beautiful parks and walks in this area. Koala Park is just 5 klms away and the dogs are allowed to walk there on a leash.
Also at the end of this street, is Kimberley State Forest with a great walk to the top of the hill.
It would be appreciated, if the sitter can send me a quick update daily with a photo. It only takes 5 seconds on the mobile phone and it is most reassuring for me and helps me not miss the pets so much. Read more...
