About this house sitting position in Strathbogie

Hi, our names are Bridget & Rob, we are a 38yo archaeologist (Bridget) and a 53yo gardener (Rob). We have 3 acres on a creek flat just out of Strathbogie (which isn't really much of a town). Our free range animals include chickens (20ish), ducks (30ish), 2 alpacas, 3 sheep, and a cat. We live in beautiful Strathbogie, which is 535m asl, east of Euroa in NE Victoria. We are 2 hrs north of Melbourne/ 2hrs south of Albury. Our neighbours are very friendly and helpful if you need it.

The animals take about 10mins work in the morning and 20-30mins in the evening, so you can go out during the day and explore the region. We are close to Mansfield and Euroa with wineries, bushwalking, gourmet food and more in the region.

There is a small general store/ PO in Bogie (as we call it!), but we usually do shopping in Euroa (20km away). There is also abundant wildlife here: koalas, wallabies, roos, echidnas and so on. Mobile phone coverage is Telstra only. We have a landline (for emergencies) and ADSL internet for your use. We prefer people with some experience with animals as the sheep tend to rush you at the gate!
