About this house sitting position in TALLAWANG
Four bedroom house with modern kitchen on 100 acres. Dogs will be away with us for the second half of the sit but we will need to leave them at home for the January part. We currently have five woking border collie sheepdogs and a small chi x terrier. The border collies are fairly well trained and stay in their kennels unless out with us. It is important they do not roam free because of our livestock and our neighbours' livestock. There will also be around 12 chooks and up to 50 sheep on the property although we only have ten so far.
Very pleasant walks alongside the bush and lovely wildlife and birds. Our property is around 20km from Gulgong which has four pubs, three restaurants and two clubs and a ton of tourist attractions and things to do. We are only 45km from Mudgee and its many wineries and historical buildings so there is plenty to see and do while in the area.
We have neighbours with livestock and fencing that is not that crash hot - so need to be sure any dogs coming are well trained will not chase livestock. Sorry, no cats because of our lovely wild birds
Basically our requirements are - leave the house as you find it, keep our chooks and garden alive and keep our dogs safe and out of trouble for the first two weeks. Chook water bowls need washing out at least ever other day and fresh feed every day - eggs would be yours to do with as you wish but please collect. Hay for the nesting boxes needs to be renewed every ten days or so.
Garden is basically on automatic watering but we are hardly doing any because of the drought. Sheep need periodic checking to make sure they have access to water and not gone through the fences.
We are in the middle of renovations so will post new pictures of the living areas once they are finished - spare room much as photographed.
