About this house sitting position in The Gap

Hi,

We are looking for a responsible, trustworthy house sitter to take care of our pets while we are away.

Whiskers and tails: two cats, Myrtille and Mikado
Beaks and feathers: one retired chook, Pamela

Our furry family members have distinct personalities. Myrtille is a smart and elegant 7 year old female, still very active and playful. Mikado is a lovable 6 year old male, clumsy and very fond of naps, food and being scratched under the chin. They go out during the day but are kept indoors at night.

Pamela is an elderly chook, enjoying a well deserved retirement after years of loyal egg-laying service. She requires little care and roams freely in the backyard.

The house is a modern Queenslander suitable for a single person or a couple. The garage is on ground floor and one flight of stairs leads to the living areas: two bedrooms, office/study, open plan kitchen/dining/living room, laundry, veranda at the back and front of house, one bathroom.

The Gap is a leafy, quiet suburb 12km North West of Brisbane CBD. It is close to Mt Coot-tha Forest, Enoggera Reservoir (swimming, kayaking) and D’Aguilar national park.

Our aim is to find a reliable, caring house sitter to take care of Myrtille, Mikado and Pamela. As for the property, we would appreciate general yard maintenance (mowing, watering the plants).

Please note that we are looking for someone who is willing to make a firm commitment. In the past, we had a sitter cancelling 10 days before the agreed house sit as they had found a “better location”. This created a significant issue for us.
