About this house sitting position in Thorneside
My partner and I require a house sitter for 18 days in November while we are on holiday with our extended family. We have an energetic 10 year old Kelpie cross - Pango who will need lots of love and affection in our absence. Pango is fine with being alone during the day, but can be boisterous at night time when the local possums are about. To this end someone who enjoys quiet nights in on couch would be well suited, and experience with dogs is preferred. Pango has access to inside the house as she pleases, requires twice a day feeding and a brisk 45-60 minute walk most days. Pango loves getting pats, ear scratches and playing fetch.
We live in a low maintenance two bedroom, two level townhouse in quiet and leafy complex. The townhouse features ceiling fans, fly screens, unlimited broadband internet, dishwasher, excellent water pressure and a shady and grassed backyard. We have a 2.4m (H) x 2.9m (W) x 6m (L) carport which may fit a small caravan and there is plenty of parking within the complex for vehicles. While we are away we will need the grass and plants watered twice a week and bins put out for collection. Non smokers preferred.
Our suburb (Thorneside) is on Moreton Bay and features paved footpaths, quiet streets and lots of trees and birdlife. We are a 20 minute walk to the train station,a 10 minute walk from local cafes and the waterfront and a 20 minute walk to our local shopping complex which features a supermarket, bakery, butcher shop, pharmacy, bottle shop, a number of take-away and sit-down restaurants, a tavern and bar.
