About this house sitting position in Toogoom (Fraser Coast Regional)

A house sitter required in May 2023 from 2nd May 2023 until the 11th May 2023. If you have your own van or camping gear the start and finish date can be extended to fit with your commitments but these dates must be covered.
MUST be good with animals, as our animals feel they are human. We have dachshunds so would prefer someone with dachshund experience.

The Property: A Queenslander with 3 bed, 2 bathroom,1 living areas, covered outdoor deck on 2 acres in the middle of Toogoom, which is currently being renovated.
Home is close to the beach approximately 300 metre flat walk with sealed paths(see photo 3). You will have your own bedroom and bathroom. There is room to park a car and caravan at the property.
The photos show the driveway entrance as its a battleaxe block, the block space.

We have kayaks, stand up paddle board and a hobie you are welcome to use. There is good fishing from the beach at night and at various spots around the area. Like many Qld beaches there is no surf but at low tide it is a nice walk out to the water. Fraser Island is very close about 30 minutes by car to the ferry and makes a nice day trip.

Many restaurants & boutiques in Hervey Bay 15 minute drive,there is a Foodworks at Craignish 5mins away, the Eli Waters Shopping Centre is about 10 minutes away by car. Stockland Mall is about 20 minutes. Toogoom itself has a convienience store, chemist, hairdresser and real estate and two very nice restuarant/cafes.
Hervey Bay does have an Airport which is about 30 minutes away. Toogoom is very flat and you can walk everywhere without much effort, there are many beach access along The Esplanade, Toogoom is approximately 10km long and about 1km wide.
Bike riding is also effortless and you can do longer cycling as the roads are pretty good or mountain bike rides on the local trails.

We have 4 dogs (1 staffy(10) and 3 mini daschunds)who are fed daily at night. We also have bird avaries that require feeding every second day and checking to make sure they have water . The dogs do have a separate pen area at the back of the property if its needed but usually just roam the yard and although the dachshunds are used to being inside they can be outside for the time we are away, they will sleep on the verandah. We would prefer you do not walk them, they have enough space for exercise.

We only expect you to clean after up after yourself and the areas you utilise.

Only NON smokers/ non drinkers to apply please, no loud parties as the neighbours will complain I assure you.
Can be a single, couple but unfortunately no children as our dachshunds are not children friendly.
Could come the day(Sunday)or weekend prior if that's helpful at your cost.
Sorry no pets(unless its a snake, guinea pig or bird that's contained) as we have our own dogs who are NOT pet friendly
