We have a 1950s weatherboard cottage on a 17 acre property on the Huon River. Our home overlooks the river on a hill, is small and warm, with a woodheater, a large deck, a piano, and NBN wireless. We are 4 kms from Huonville, 14 km from Cygnet and 40 minutes to Hobart. The Huon valley area and southwest Tasmania are an explorer's paradise, with cute little villages like Cygnet and Franklin, pristine beaches and endless bushwalking opportunities. We have four sheep (lambs pending), and a few chickens which need checking and occasional feeding. Our vegie garden requires regular watering depending on the weather. Most importantly, we have two sweet, energetic, staffy mutt dogs that need to be walked twice a day. We provide details of all the walks and beaches in the area good for dogs and humans alike. You must be a dog lover to come here as Frank and Opi like to dish out lots of love and have their favorite couch positions booked!
