About this house sitting position in Yamba

ATTENTION to all those who applied for our Sit.
Our plans have been thrown into disarray...literally..(re purchasing a house down south that has now fallen through.)We now have no idea when we will exactly need a sitter as it depends when another suitable property comes up. It could be next week or next month or more. This obviously won't suit most.😥 Please contact me again IF you are versatile re our situation. When we DO eventually go we would looking at about 2 to 3 weeks. Very VERY sorry about this. Jan

Looking most likely for a SINGLE lady.. who adores animals. Must be happy to take our little dog out to parks and the beaches in her own car...or in OUR car as she lives for outings to the beach.😊

OUR HOME:
Lovely lakeside absolute lake frontage 2 b/r Villa right on the lake in an 'Over 50s' gated Resort (Palm lake Resort) on the outskirts of Yamba. Absolute lake frontage!!! Views of the lake out of every window in lounge kitchen and dining area. No houses on other side of lake. Just beautiful, rural and serene.
A little 'ONE WAY' road between the house and lake so very little 'resort' traffic and quiet😊. Sit on the verandah and watch the fish jump out of the water. The resort is surrounded by water. Fish across the road.
Our lake is fed from the mighty Clarence River...we sometimes even have dolphins come into the lake and at times they stay in for a couple of days. Great excitement.
Watch the fish leap out of the water all day. Throw in a crab pot. Bring your kayak. Yamba is surrounded by waterways and has 7 amazing beautiful beaches waterways, estuaries, lakes and tributaries everywhere fed by the mighty Clarence River and the sea. Fresh prawns straight from the trawlers.

Whilst rural outlook and on the edge of town Coles and a small shopping Centre only a 2 min drive by car or 5min by bike.
5 min drive into Yamba itself and all the beaches. Take a ferry trip across to Iluka for lunch at the Pub with or without the dog.

Now about our bubs...the IMPORTANT part of the Sit as this is a PET-Sit as opposed to a house- sit.
We have an adorable loving pup... a 3 yr old (Pomeranium X ) named SKIPPY (weighs 10.3kg) ...
Also a beautiful, lazy, VERY affectionate loving desexed 'boy' cat (11 years old !) called SOOTYBOY
They are very close and they love each other to bits.
Our animals are the absolute centre of our world so PLEASE..... only ABSOLUTE cat and dog lovers who truly delight in being around our babies night and day need apply (as opposed to sitters just simply going through the motions of just feeding animals and spending all day away from them. 😥😢)
We want and expect you to do fun things with Skippy each day.
We rarely go on holidays without them...so it is imperative we find someone like us.
We have bikes for your use..(foldup if you want to take the bike into Yamba in your car to ride around) The Resort has a swimming pool and spa, tennis court, (tennis racquets and balls supplied by us, golf practice net and of course fishing. If you have a kayak or small dingy it can be put in water across the road from our place.
A lovely charming 'Off Leash' park WITHIN the resort as well.
Whilst we would want you to enjoy our Skippy and give her lots of outings in either your car OR ours... she is also happy on the verandah or inside when you want to do your own thing too...for a few hours. We have a doggy door so our pets can go in and out as they please and the verandah has a gate one end so nice and secure for them. We just ask that you aren't gone longer than 3 hours (absolute MAX) on any given day and especially not consecutive days.
There is No gardening to be done.....maybe just occasional watering if no rain for a few days. We have our own letterbox outside the house and that is where our bin is picked up and emptied every week too.
Skippy is extremely affectionate and a lot of fun. ..and our cat Sooty also most affectionate.
Skippy likes to say hello to everyone on the beach...Yamba's little Ambassador.
We have a huge TV (with foxtel) in loungeroom and a smaller one in bedroom...also with foxtel.
Airconditioning and fans but also a lovely breeze off the lake...on verandah. Bbq on verandah.
SKIPPY loves running around off leash on the beach and in parks. She is well trained and [mostly] obedient. 😜She is very sensitive so needs someone who is gentle and very kind.

Many great places to eat out....some with magnificent views. Great bowling club and Golf Club and a Tavern RIGHT on the Clarence River.
Animal's meals will be packed in pouches stored in the freezer which makes mealtimes SO so easy for you!!
Just get one out of freezer for each animal the night before.
We would like to meet the successful applicant/s BEFOREHAND to confirm we have a perfect match for all concerned.
You will have OUR bedroom when we go. Deluxe pillow top queensize bed for super comfy sleeps....and foxtel in the bedroom.
Note: MUST be happy with Skippy on the bed. Please, PLEASE dont apply if you DON'T like little animals on the bed with you. Skippy has night blindness...so usually wants to be up on the bed. Sooty comes up [occasionally] on the bed for half an hour or so. Please, PLEASE do NOT apply if you have allergies to cats.
(One couple shut the door on him each night....the wife said she had allergies to cats!! She never told us when they applied!!
Sooty was so stressed and disoriented when we returned and took weeks before he felt it was OK and safe to come back into our bedroom!!😢)
So...THATS why we would prefer a single woman who adores animals around her.
