Hi,
I would like to introduce myself and give a little bit of background with my passion for. house sitting experiences and love for animals (of all kinds) 😀

I grew up on a farm in NSW but have lived in Queensland Brisbane now for over 20 years.
I absolutely. love animals, and have had many of my own pets over the years including dogs, budgies and various other bird’s. As well as different types of fish since moving to Brisbane where I live in a unit.
I had two cats as well as pets but since having the last one I developed a slight allergic reaction to the cat hair. As a result I unfortunately. I will not be able to house sit cats.

While I lived in NSW had the opportunity of being able to have a close bond to our farm animals and for and having the responsibility of caring for their needs etc.
We had several dogs including a Golden Retriever, sheep dogs, and a Labrador . We also had a horse that I adored and have many happy memories of .,,
We also had the joy of caring for and raising lambs and calves. And in the midst of all these pets we had a gorgeous cockatoo…she was not only hilarious in her personality but just fun to be around.

I definitely miss farm life and all that comes
With it , but thoroughly enjoy house sitting for others now be it in the suburbs, coast or small
hobby farms and the opportunity to go to new areas I haven’t been before.

I love be able to. care for home owners. pets while they are away, taking their. dogs for walks, having. hugs and giving them all the attention they deserve. I enjoy also taking care of plants etc as I love gardening.

I have also had experience and with chickens, fish and Guinea pigs.
I understand that some pets have come from rescue situations and I have the sensitivity to give them the extra special care that they require as well as being able to follow through with any specific. instructions left by the owners for their care while they are away.

House sitting for me is being able to connect with the home owners pets, and to also take great pride in looking after their home and any other needs while they are away.

I enjoy house sitting in different areas as well , and am content to be at home or out exploring new surrounds if the house sit allows for that.

I find it easy to interact with people, and have good communication skills, so enjoy meeting new people and forming long term relationships.

I am young at heart with a vivacious nature
I am very fit and a non smoker and non drinker.

I am an experienced house sitter as I have been house sitting off and on for the last four to five years for friends , family or friends of family and have been with Mindahome for the last year and a half or so. I had a break for a while (about 4 -5 months) but have come back and looking forward to many more house sitting positions.

I am a gentle, caring and compassionate person but also am assertive and hard working.
I am honest, and very capable. I am a very neat and tidy person and enjoy gardening and odd jobs around the home.
I am reliable, conscientious, responsible and dependable, and am capable of undertaking whatever tasks are at hand as well as having an ability to enjoy learning new skills and new tasks if needed.

I have a creative streak and I enjoy doing my unique beach artwork ( some of which I have put in art exhibitions and sold). I enjoy painting, mainly beach scenes and creating things such as photo books calendars etc with the photos I’ve taken or things I’ve made, (these are great gifts for friends and family) I am considering doing some for charity work as well in the very near future. I enjoy sewing, clothes and doing long stitch tapestries .
I am currently making some children,s books for my grandchildren and just finished a book for another little boy who is the grandchild of a close friend.

For leisure I enjoy watching movies, I also enjoy writing songs and playing guitar and sewing. I also
love going to the gym, going for long walks in the bush, the beach or just around the suburbs as often as I can…

I’m looking forward to more house sitting in 2024 as it i has been to me an amazing lifestyle as a semi retired lady and find it very rewarding.
I would love for you to be able to know that your home and pets would. be in good hands if you choose to have me house sit for you 😀

I have references and a police check I can forward as well, or if possible am willing to come and meet you etc before hand as I have done in the past.
