Hello,we are Wayne & Noriko, friendly, caring, responsible & experienced housesitters with references supplied.

Wayne is 57 and a natural health practitioner and fruit-tree-grower but currently works from home on his internet business.

Noriko is 40 and works as a relief teacher teaching Japanese language and music. She is Japanese but an Australian citizen.

[Sorry about the discrepancy in our ages compared to what it states above. This website only allows one age selection so we averaged our ages out.]

So Wayne is home most of the time and Noriko is home much of the time as well.

We do not smoke. (Neither of us has ever been a smoker.)

Noriko is very experienced with housesitting. (Please see the references provided below.) I have finally joined her in housesitting after finding a new owner for the large rural property that we owned until recently.

We recently finished housesitting and looking after 2 small dogs and a garden and pool on a 3-acre property in Flaxton (near Montville), Sunshine Coast, for 2 months. (Please see our most recent reference below from the houseowner in Montville.) Before that we were caring for a cat and feeding wild birds and looking after a garden and swimming pool at a coastfront property in Pottsville, NSW North Coast. (Please see our reference from the houseowner in Pottsville.) Prior to that we were housesitting and caring for 2 medium-sized "working" dogs for 7 weeks on a 40 acre rural property at Wamuran, Queensland. (Please see our reference below from the houseowner in Wamuran.) Before that we were looking after 3 small dogs, a cat and a turtle in Mountain Creek near Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast for 7 weeks. (Please have a look below at our reference from the houseowner in Mountain Creek.) We are currently caring for chooks and ducks (with 6 new ducklings) and a 50-acre rainforest property at Mount Warning, northern NSW for 2.5 months.

Being property-owners ourselves, we understand the responsibility and care needed in keeping a property neat, tidy, well-maintained and secure. We take this very seriously.

We are experienced and caring with animals. We have had many animals ourselves. We both grew up with dogs and had dogs and cats of our own before we started house-sitting. (We didn't start moving around until after our animal friends were no longer with us.) And we have been taking care of lots of animals for other people.

We are responsible and reliable people and Noriko has police clearance as it is necessary for her teaching work. I am willing to obtain a police clearance on request.

Noriko and Wayne looked after our 2-acre property for two months in January and February of 2012.
These months experienced a record amount of rain in our area and Noriko and Wayne not only managed to cope exceptionally well with the adverse weather conditions but took good care of our young dogs, a Fox Terrier and Chihuahua cross by taking them out for daily walks despite the weather. We were initially a little concerned when leaving the Chihuahua in their care because she is very nervous with strangers. However, we needn’t have worried because she settled down with them almost immediately which confirmed their wide experience with animals.
They kept the house clean and tidy, again despite the mildew that prevailed at the time, and kept the garden in good shape, a real challenge at the time. Wayne was also on hand to give our builder a helping hand when our room extension was being constructed during the period we were overseas.
I have no hesitation in recommending Noriko and Wayne for any house sitting positions and I can vouch for their honesty, diligence and helpful advice.

This letter is to state that Noriko Yamada and Wayne Cochrane house sat my property and pets for 7 weeks from 10th June to 2nd August 2011. I have 2 dogs, a cat and a turtle and my mum's dog also came to stay for the 7 weeks as well. One of my dogs has separation anxiety and the other is very timid, so I was concerned about leaving them. On my first meeting with Noriko, my timid dog took to her straight away. Noriko and Wayne did a fantastic job with all the animals. I came home to a tidy and clean house, but most of all happy and contented pets.

I would be only too happy to have them housesit for me, should I need to go away again.

I would like to thank them for the great care they took and highly recommend them for any house-sitting positions that may come up in the future.
