More information about this house sitter

We need to add an addition to our site saying that unfortunately this coming summer we will not be house sitting in Adelaide due to vehicle problems. I apologise to anyone who has approached us before I put this out. Hopefully, the following year things will be back to normal.
We have completed our 3 month stay with Lochi and his parents have returned, everyone safe and sound and very happy. We were heading for home after this house sit. However - here we are again. We were requested to house sit and look after a little West Highland Terrier until 30th July, so we said 'yes we would love to'. How lucky are we. What a lovely time we've had in and around Adelaide 2014/2015. We had a 2nd stay looking after a glorious, very large German Shepherd called Lochi. We looked after him for a month at the end of Jan. and then returned for a 3 month stay, with other house sits/animal minders in between to do what we do best, look after homes and fur babies. We also get to see some of our Grandchildren who grow so fast in a year.
About us. We are in our middle 60's, active and non smokers. We will care for your home exactly as we would our own. We are animal lovers and have loads of love to give to your babies and treat them exactly as you ask us. Part of the family. When you return to your home, you can expect to find it just as you left it. As we live in a unit, we actually love the idea of looking after a garden, mowing and all the things that you want us to do We can supply references from both Adelaide and where we live permanently in far north Queensland. We have housesat for a number of years now, and can supply references from all of our home owners. After Yasi hit our area, we decided it was time to do what we've always wanted to do, and we have, thanks to some lovely families who we had the pleasure to house sit and look after their animals. We do all we can to make it easier for people to go away from their homes and feel comfortable leaving us in charge of their most precious possessions. We also greatly respect the use of utilities, eg electricity and do as we do at our own home, trying to be as thrifty as possible. We've now looked after many wonderful dogs, some cats, 2 horses and chooks in the past. One of our house sit involved cooking specific food for both of the dogs, (a Hungarian Vitzla and Dalmation) as they are both on special diets, and medications for both. Often their has been medications and even visits (pre-arranged) to the vets. It has been easy for us to continue with lots of loving care for all of them. At one of our sits, we had 2 Rottweilers, 1 Ridgeback/Rottweiler and a Staffy. All inside one small house. This was quite a demanding week, however, once again the dogs were lovely and affectionate. Our latest adventure is to baby sit local dogs where we live once we return home, and had one dear little old man for 3 weeks. Such a pleasure. We'll be looking after same old fella again shortly (he's 15 now) and we have looked after many lovely dogs since. (The above has obviously already been done) Thanks for letting us tell our story. Has been an immense pleasure for us. There is far too much in between to be able to add it all. When we return home, we will resume looking after holiday makers pets for a day, a week or for however long is needed until our return to Adelaide at the end of this year. Best regards, Neal and Helen.
