Hi everyone,

My name's Ellie, I'm 28 and I am moving to Melbourne, from New Zealand on the 31st of August 2026. Ideally, I would love to move straight into a house & pet sitting job to help out anyone who is going away from this time, a longer-term house sit would be preferred but I am open to any opportunity. It is unlikely that I will have a car for the first few months of moving, so preferably a location either within walking distance of the city, or close to public transport.

Currently I am living in St Albans, Christchurch and working full-time.

Before moving to Christchurch from my home in Nelson, I had to make the very difficult decision to re-home my fur baby, Herbie. He was a rescue and the absolute light of my life. It's left a massive hole in my heart, and I would love to try and fill this by offering to walk and/or care for your four-legged friends when needed. I grew up with our family dog, Will. He was with us for 17 wonderful years before I rescued Herbie and had him as my own for almost 5 years. As a husky/border collie/farm dog mix, he certainly kept me active, loved a game of tug of war and plenty of cuddles. My family have previously owned cats as well and my flatmates own Nigel at our flat.

As a homeowner myself and having rented for approximately 9-10 years, I understand the importance of looking after someone else's home. I consider myself to be a very responsible, empathetic and respectful person, with a huge love for animals and keeping active.
