A Lady Who Talks to Cats

I’m Melissa — currently living in Brisbane, and apparently becoming the kind of person who talks to cats like tiny roommates.
I’ve always believed animals are incredibly intelligent little souls. Most of the time, they’re not being “difficult” at all… they’re simply trying very hard to communicate with humans who unfortunately don’t speak fluent Cat or Dog yet 😂
A while ago, I helped care for two puppies who were only two months old. They slept beside me every night, and yes — I became the official midnight milk supplier for a while. After every meal, I patiently carried them outside every two hours like a very determined kindergarten teacher. Within just a few days, they proudly learned their own toilet routine 😊
Then came my black-and-white Cow Cat — Huabao.
At first, this little gentleman believed vegetables were clearly against his personal religion. He only wanted meat and eggs. So I quietly started researching pet nutrition and slowly introduced peas, carrots and corn into his meals. To my great surprise… it actually worked 😂
Huabao also developed another important hobby:
supervising my daily life
When I worked, he slept under my desk.
When I walked home, he ran beside me.
we usually walked nearly 1km together to visit his cat mother twice one week.
One evening he suddenly became sick after eating something bad outside. He started vomiting, so I immediately gave him probiotics twice that day. By the next morning, he was completely back to normal — energetic, hungry and ready to continue managing my daily schedule 😊
To understand him better, I even started learning “cat language” online. Honestly… I’m still not completely sure whether I trained Huabao, or Huabao trained me.
So if I ever stay with your little furry family members, I’ll probably start by asking them a very serious question:
“What would make your life more fun?” 😊
Maybe they’ll suddenly get a handmade little embroidered vest…
Maybe they’ll join me during yoga practice…
Or maybe they’ll simply discover a new human friend who genuinely enjoys talking with them like family.
