Hi! We’re Ambre and Jacob, a couple from the UK spending a year travelling around Australia. We both love the outdoors, cooking, camping, hiking and living a simple, relaxed lifestyle.

We both grew up surrounded by animals including dogs, cats and horses, so we’re very comfortable caring for pets of all kinds. We’ve always had family dogs, two golden retrievers we miss dearly, and we love any excuse for a bit of extra dog company.

We’re easy-going, respectful and responsible, and we treat every place we stay as if it were our own. Whether it’s keeping the house spotless, maintaining the garden or giving your pets plenty of love and attention, we take pride in looking after homes with genuine care.

During our time in Australia, we’ve had some amazing experiences through Workaway, staying with families, couples and individuals across the country. We’ve helped out on a small farm, supported a family household and often ended up staying longer than planned simply because we got along so well.

One of our favourite experiences was in Cape Gloucester, where we lived with a lovely family for two months. We were only meant to stay for one, but it quickly felt like home. Later, we helped their friend who had broken her leg by housesitting for her for over a month. During that time, we gave her weekly updates and regular FaceTime calls to show how everything was going, as we understand how important it is to feel reassured that your home is being cared for properly.

That experience made us realise how much we enjoy housesitting and caring for people’s homes and pets while giving them peace of mind. As our remote work has become a bit busier, housesitting now feels like the perfect balance.
