More information about this house sitter

I am a mature, non-smoking, and tidy solo traveller with extensive experience caring for both homes and animals. After a particularly difficult year, I’m headed to Australia in early 2026 to rest, recuperate and to be near my family.

This past year was a difficult one as I provided months of dedicated care for my two beloved senior cats (17 and 22) before finally saying goodbye to both. Saying goodbye has been so hard, but it has left me with a huge amount of love to give and a deep appreciation for the quiet companionship pets provide. I’m very experienced with specialist pet care, including maintaining the specific routines that keep our fur babies feeling secure.

Before I was a cat person, I was a dog person and a horse person. I have been surrounded by animals my entire life. Growing up in Ballarat, we had dogs, birds, rabbits, and horses. This lifelong exposure has made me confident and adaptable to the unique personalities and needs of many different animals.

I am a born-and-bred Ballarat local, currently a homeowner in the UK, and I’m returning home to be close to my mum following her recent operation. I’m looking for a comfortable, quiet 'home base' where I can stay while being close enough to support her. I have a long history of responsible house and pet sitting, dating back to my early 20s when I looked after my employer’s home and dog right here in the Ballarat area.

I'm very familiar with Ballarat and love the idea of 'coming home' for a while. Being a local means I'm familiar with the neighbourhood and would be completely comfortable looking after things while I'm there supporting my mum.

My priority is providing a high-standard of care so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As someone who has been an 'anxious pet parent' myself, I completely understand the leap of faith it takes to leave your home and animals in someone else's hands. I was incredibly selective about who I chose to care for my 2 cats, because I wanted to ensure their routine, comfort, and safety were never compromised. Because I know that feeling so well, my goal as a sitter is to provide the exact level of care and communication I always looked for. I’m happy to send daily photo updates, follow specific feeding or medication schedules, and maintain the quiet, loving environment your pets are used to. I treat every pet with the same high standards I held for my own. It won't be hard for me because I love animals and I have a lot of love to give.

For your peace of mind, I hold UK DBS check.
