More information about this house sitter

Hello there,

I'm Anna, 38 and originally from Germany but have been living in Australia for 11 years, calling it home. Buckle up for some short story - long oversharing here in this "describe yourself" field. I hope it helps you getting an idea though.

From the back of my head I remember at least 17 house sits. Mostly word of mouth when living in Mackay but also from aussihousesitters etc and you can absolutely contact my references. There has been all sorts of dog shapes and sizes, cats, birds and farms as well.

I am a happy and chatty person who enjoys making people laugh....with or about me, as long as people smile.
I have cycled half around Australia and Germany to Kyrgystan, in Nepal and Europe. You can say I love cycling a lot. But what I love even more is dogs and animals in general. I've worked in physiotherapy, office cleaning, catering and then also on fruit farms as well as the great fun grain farms in the middle of nowhere - all over Australia. For the past bit over 2 years I have been the shed hand for an apiary in Wynyard. That job just finished and I am currently house sitting in Launceston.
Why am I currently not working? I am waiting to be invited to the next citizenship ceremony, 29th of September and it was not possible or fair to the next employer to train me when I want to visit family in 4 months time. So I am writing long "describe yourselfs" and a bit of a book instead until then.

I don't smoke, nor have I ever touched alcohol or any drug at all....well...ok I do have a complicated relationship with sugar and then exercise sometimes.

In my free time I go for a bike ride, a run, I knit socks or crochet, read a book, sing terribly and cook even worse, learn a language, hang on my phone too much or if there is a dog I would go for walks/ runs and with any animal who likes it I would spend time cuddling with or without a movie/book. Atm I'm working on a beautiful, cabled jumper for my mother's 70s, which I'm intending on focusing on a lot during the housesit. I read a book before bed. The pets are welcome in bed but I respect all of your rules. Just mentioning it for those who find it important to have the pets in bed.

I am pretty handy when it comes to fixing things. Inspect, figure out, fix. I have worked with tools and machines more than with people.
