Hello, we are a British Family made up of Mum (Poppy), Dad (Daniel) and our 3 boys, Jasper (11), Koa (5), and Wilf (18 ish months).
We leave our home (Jersey, Channel Islands) in September 2025 to embark on some word travels, heading to Asia. We are looking at coming to Australia end of 2025 and into early 2026 to explore.
Our oldest was born in Australia back in 2014, and we came back for a visit in early 2020, we are super excited to come back again with the younger two in tow.
We have experience with domestic animals, and had our own dog (Pokey, an Australian Kelpie cross Border Collie) that I (Poppy) acquired after working on a cattle station in Queensland in 2011. She travelled the world and came home with us in 2014, she sadly died of a suspected brain tumour in 2022. She was everything to Jasper and he is desperate to get another dog in our future. We hope looking after some different breeds may heal some of his heart.
After working on a farm I also have experience with chickens and other farm animals (cows, pigs, and goats). And also grew up with cats.
We are also happy to mind smaller pets too.
As a family we like an active outdoor lifestyle, and would be happy to be out and about looking after animals, taking them for walks.
My partner is also a keen gardener, and would be capable and happy to look after indoor or outdoor plants.
