I’m a calm, reliable and respectful house and pet sitter who genuinely enjoys caring for animals and looking after a home. I’m practical, capable and independent, and when I’m entrusted with someone’s home, I treat it with the same care and respect I would my own.

Since joining Mindahome, I am at the tail end of my four-month house sit, which comes to an end on 26 September. I particularly enjoy longer sits, as I like having the time to settle into a home, get to know the animals properly and become familiar with their routines and personalities. For me, it’s much more than simply being somewhere to stay.

I’ve had dogs, cats and horses of my own over the years, as well as caring for many rescue animals. Some of those animals needed a little extra patience and understanding before eventually being placed in loving, permanent homes. That experience has taught me that every animal is different, and that feeling safe, settled and understood is just as important as food and walks.

I’m comfortable with the day-to-day care of a home, including keeping things clean and tidy, general upkeep and making sure everything is looked after as it should be. I’m a quiet, non-smoking person and enjoy a peaceful routine.

I’m especially interested in longer-term house sits where I can provide consistency and become a familiar person for the animals. I understand the trust involved in leaving your home and pets in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously.
