Hi all,

We are two Canadian geologists relocating from Vancouver to Perth for work and are hoping to house and pet-sit during our first month in Aus while we get settled.

We are both animal lovers with experience caring for a wide range of animals from cats and dogs, to fish, rodents, and livestock. Mathias grew up with working-bred spaniels, and I grew up on a farm with herding breeds, so we are very comfortable handling high-energy dogs of all shapes and sizes. I enjoy dog training as a side hobby and have always loved working with animals, with previous experience in pet stores, wildlife rehabilitation, and as a therapy dog handler. During our time together, we have also cared for multiple special-needs cats and are more than comfortable administering medication if necessary.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if we sound like a good fit. We are currently spending the winter pet-sitting two large mastiffs and three cats in an off-grid home in Mexico, and, prior to this, we were caretaking a 30-acre hobby farm with cattle and barn cats. We are no strangers to house-sitting and are happy to provide references.

We will be arriving in Perth end of March to first week of April and are open to all opportunities, but will prioritize longer stays (2–4 weeks) within driving distance of the CBD, as we will be house hunting and purchasing a vehicle during this time.
