Canadian Geologists Available Mar/April

More information about this house sitter

Hi all,

We are two Canadian geologists currently located in Perth. We’re planning a trip out to Sydney soon to visit a friend and hoping to pet/house sit while we’re there.

We are both animal lovers with experience caring for a wide range of animals from cats and dogs, to fish, rodents, and livestock. Mathias grew up with working-bred spaniels, and I grew up on a farm with herding breeds, so we are very comfortable handling high-energy dogs of all shapes and sizes. I enjoy dog training as a side hobby and have always loved working with animals, with previous experience in pet stores, wildlife rehabilitation, and as a therapy dog handler. During our time together, we have also cared for multiple special-needs cats and are more than comfortable administering medication if necessary.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if we sound like a good fit. We spent the winter pet-sitting two large mastiffs and three cats in an off-grid home in Mexico, and, prior to this, we were caretaking a 30-acre hobby farm with cattle and barn cats. We are no strangers to house-sitting and are happy to provide references.

We are fairly flexible on our dates as nothing is booked yet but will only be available for 5 days at a time between September and November and as such will be prioritizing shorter stays closer to the CBD.

Looking forward to connecting,

Lucy and Mathias Read more...
