Hello we are Jess and Rowan, a happily married couple in our early forties, currently living in Canberra, Australia.

Rowan works full time in mining operations in Western Australia, travelling between Canberra and WA on a regular FIFO roster. I am currently undertaking my PhD full time, while also doing some occasional work from home, which gives me the flexibility to spend plenty of time at a property and provide companionship and care for animals throughout the day.

We are both caring, considerate, responsible and down to earth people who appreciate the simple pleasures in life. We love nature, beautiful surroundings, peaceful environments, cooking, exploring regional areas and spending quiet time at home. We’re not party people and genuinely enjoy a relaxed, peaceful lifestyle.

Animals have always held an incredibly special place in our lives. We have very recently said goodbye to our beloved 12 year old French Bulldog Jagger, who was the absolute centre of our little family. We raised him from just four weeks old and he was loved and cherished beyond words. Having spent 12 wonderful years caring for him, including supporting him through his senior years, we understand the responsibility, patience, attentiveness and unconditional love that animals deserve.

We know that pets are family and we also understand how important it is for homeowners to feel completely comfortable and confident leaving their home and their beloved animals in someone else’s care. We would approach that responsibility with enormous respect and genuine affection.

We are particularly interested in longer term house sitting opportunities, as my PhD research allows me to work remotely and establish a comfortable routine while caring for a home. We are very happy looking after gardens, maintaining a clean and tidy home, following established pet routines and keeping homeowners updated while they’re away.

We are respectful of other people’s belongings, considerate of neighbours and mindful of the trust involved in welcoming someone into your home. We would always treat a property with the same care, attention and pride that we give our own.
