About Us
We’re Jane and Daan a retired couple in our sixties, currently based in the Netherlands, visiting our son, his partner, and our two grandchildren in Randwick from mid -October to mid- January with deep roots in both the UK and the Netherlands, we bring a lifetime of practical experience, professional backgrounds, and genuine love of home and animal care to every sit.

Our Backgrounds
Between us we have careers spanning medicine, education, and design — Daan is a former doctor and designer, and Jane grew up on a farm before becoming the head of a design faculty. We’re now happily retired, fit, active, and relishing the freedom to travel and care for other people’s homes and beloved animals.

Pet & Animal Care
Animals have always been central to our lives for over 30 years. We’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, and horses — including hands-on experience with feeding, health monitoring, exercise routines, and the kind of attentive care that only comes from truly loving and understanding animals.

We regularly farm sat for family over the years for a small organic diary farm with horses, dogs, cats and chickens.

Your pets won’t just be looked after; they’ll be in their element.

Your Home & Garden
As homeowners ourselves, we understand exactly what it means to entrust your property to someone else. We treat every home as our own — with respect, care, and attention to detail. We’re keen gardeners and are more than happy to keep your garden ticking over while you’re away.

Lifestyle
We’re vegetarian, non-smoking, fit, and active — we love walking, cycling, sailing and swimming, so we’ll happily keep ourselves busy exploring the neighbourhood between caring for your home. We hold full, clean driving licences (Dutch) and are perfectly comfortable getting around by public transport or on foot.
