Hi, I’m Pam, and this is my husband, Dave.

We’ve been happily married for 42 years, with two kids, now four grandchildren (another on the way), and three grand-dogs.

I came to Australia in 1970 as a “ten pound pom”, and Dave spent part of his childhood in Malaysia while his dad was in the RAAF. We met in 1982 working together in the canteen at Holdens in Elizabeth, South Australia, and have been side by side ever since.

We’re both retired now — I spent 25 years in retail (and still love finding a good bargain!), and Dave worked for 21 years in the wine industry in the Barossa Valley. These days we’re enjoying life at a slower pace, travelling around Australia in our caravan (a gift from our son), and often looking after our kids’ homes and their dogs when they head off on holidays… and conveniently forget to invite us.

Last year our son and his family were in the US for three months, so we looked after his 6-acre property in Roleystone, along with his dogs, fruit trees, gardens, and pool. A few things decided to break while they were away — but Dave doesn’t stay bored for long and is always happy to find something to fix or tidy up.
Animals have always been part of our lives. We’ve had four dogs over the years and were involved in dog shows and obedience training, so we’re very comfortable with pets and know they’re part of the family.

At home, I enjoy watching MasterChef or a good British TV show, while Dave likes to keep busy — fixing things, cleaning, or trying his luck on the PlayStation (usually with a bit of help from our son!). We both enjoy gardening, cooking, and fishing… though we’re better at trying than catching. There’s usually some Michael Bublé playing in the background too.

Life hasn’t been without its challenges — I had a stroke some years ago — but with determination and support, I got back on my feet, and we’ve just kept going.

We’re easygoing, reliable, and will look after your home and pets as if they were our own.
