Hi! We're Abby and Sophie, a couple from Auckland NZ who moved to Sydney mid-2024.

We initially started house sitting to explore Sydney while we settled in and loved it so much we've just kept going. We've completed over 25 sits through THS and other sitting platforms and are having the best time!

We're super excited to have jumped the ditch – we're both responsible, career driven, community focused (and animal loving) individuals looking to make the most of all opportunities that come our way. We both have flatting experience and are exceptionally clean and tidy people who will treat your house like a home, leaving it even better than we found it.

Abby works in marketing/comms for a tech company, while Sophie works in sales for a tech company too. While Sophie's role is fully in office, Abby is only in the office one or two days a week. We both have flexibility with our schedules meaning we can arrange half days or stagger our start/finish times if need be on days where we will both be in office, so we're always around to give your pets lots of love and attention.

We have our own cat, Olive, who is loving life and getting completely spoiled staying with Abby's parents back in NZ for now. Once we settle in and find our own place, we'll bring her over.

We've been together for over 4 years now! In our free time, we love taking long walks, exploring new neighbourhoods, travelling, hitting the gym, going to community events, spending time with friends and family, and trying new food together.

We find sitting a fun way to explore Sydney while still being able to enjoy a homely, comfortable environment made all the better by the company of pets.

We’re super thankful for all the new experiences we’ve gained during our time as sitters and have built wonderful relationships with so many lovely people and pets through sitting – we’re always thrilled to take on return sits. We have absolutely fallen in love with Sydney and it’s been helpful to get ideas of where we might like to eventually settle down through sitting.

While we didn’t initially plan to sit long term, it’s become our new normal that makes every day more exciting and is simultaneously helping set us up for the future as a young couple.
