From the most honest place in my heart, I have always wanted to be with animals. Since childhood, I wished to be a vet, then a dog trainer, then a dog show host, and then finally - a dog owner. My dream came true at 21 years old when I bought myself my first puppy...Morty. A feisty, obedient Boston Terrier. Morty was my faithful companion for 10 years. Every day was "me and morty." Our walks, our runs, our talks and our snuggles. I worked from home remotely so my relationship to Morty was paramount to my life. Then, Morty passed. I felt so alone. I stopped walking, I stopped...living. Finally, I encouraged myself to begin traveling. Now that I didn't have a dog, this was easier for me to arrange. But I always missed him. I thought about getting another dog but then I would have to forgoe my newfound love: Travel. It had given back to me what Morty and I had once had: adventure, fun, play. I also quit my job recently and complained to a friend that "all i want to do is travel and play with animals." You know what he said? "There's a service for that. It's called house sitting." I couldn't believe it...two of the things I wanted in one perfect-for-me combo. I could travel the world AND find furry companions wherever I go. It feels almost too good to be true. When you hire me to housesit, you help me achieve my dreams of travelling the world and playing with animals. Your pet is a gift for my soul, and your home feels safer to me than a hotel because your pet is there. I have always felt off since Morty passed trying to sleep without him snoring next to me. Knowing a dog or cat is in the room just feels like safety to my nervous system. In terms of my experience, I have both trained, owned, and offered boarding for dogs in my own home. Fun Fact: Cesar Milan (Dog whisperer) was my first idol and it's no surprise why. Like him, I'm a natural with pets (and people) and it doesn't hurt that my boyfriend and I are both very clean, can't stand messes kind of humans. I hope in a world of AI...you can sense the truth and resonance of my words. I've played pretend my whole life trying to be liked, approved of, and accepted...but when I'm with animals, I don't have to. I can just be me. With me as your sitter, you get authenticity, care, and reliability. You can stay in touch as little or as much as you feel comfortable while you’re away. With all honesty, I'm the exact person that I would want to stay and care for my home and pet...that is what I have to offer.
