Hello, we’re David and Sandie.
We house and pet sit together, offering homeowners a calm, reliable, and well-balanced presence while they’re away. Between us, we bring experience, attentiveness, and a shared respect for caring for homes and animals as if they were our own.
A Trusted and Proven Foundation
David has been housesitting across Brisbane and South-East Queensland since early 2024, completing short- and long-term sits and receiving consistently positive reviews for reliability, communication, and care. His background in professional consulting brings strong follow-through, attention to detail, and a clear sense of responsibility.
Sandie has also house and pet sat previously and brings a steady, practical, and nurturing presence. She has cared for animals ranging from small pets through to large dogs and has experience in homes from simple country properties to high-value residences. Her natural focus on cleanliness, order, and safety helps ensure homes remain well cared for and settled.
How We Came to Sit Together
We came together for a long-term (5 months) sit at a rural motel property while the owners are overseas. During that sit, it has become clear that we work very smoothly as a team, sharing responsibility naturally and supporting one another to ensure nothing is overlooked.
Our responsibilities here include daily care of a large St Bernard, extensive garden and grounds maintenance, routine property inspections, and weekly reporting to the owners. This sit has reinforced how well our skills and approaches complement each other, particularly for longer or more involved assignments.
Caring for Animals with Presence and Consistency
We’re both very comfortable caring for animals of all kinds and sizes. Sandie has a gentle, patient way with animals, allowing them to settle and connect in their own time, while David ensures routines, instructions, and daily care requirements are followed carefully.
We understand how reassuring it is for homeowners to see their pets happy while they’re away. We provide weekly updates with photos as standard and are always happy to communicate more frequently if preferred.
Respect for Your Home and Privacy
We follow homeowners’ instructions closely and never do anything outside those instructions without checking first. We’re very mindful of privacy and personal space and treat every home with respect and discretion.
Both of us are clean, tidy, non-smokers, and non-drinkers, and we naturally maintain homes to a high standard. Wherever possible, we aim to leave a home in as good — or better — condition than when it was entrusted to us.
