It would bring me joy to be able to pet sit and/or house sit for you!

A country girl originally from a cattle station in the remote Northern Territory Outback, I have been blessed; surrounded by the magnificent outdoors! and animals!!

I am now in my 50’s and have been Pet and Homesitting for many years and I adore it!!
A professional pet and home sitter with a genuinely special connection to furry friends of all breeds and ages, including those with specific medical needs.

At 'Happy Tales' you are quaranteed a professional pet and/or home sitting service including communication via photos/videos; all arrangements detailed before your sit begins and meeting your pet(s) and or ‘home’ in advance; are just a few of the services you can expect at 'Happy Tales'.

'Happy Tales' assures that you, the owner/s, will feel comfortable while you are away and that you will return to a very happy pet and an immaculate house!

I am an extremely respectful, reliable, sincere and grateful pet and home sitter. Also quiet, clean and extremely house proud and active and responsible.

Deb was the most unbelievable house sitter we came home to a house that was spotless and the plants were better than we were looking after them garden was just amazing everything was I’m giving her 10 stars for everything and communication was spot on I certainly hope we will be able to get her back but I would suspect she is going to be very busy after this review So easy going easy to talk to just a lovely lady you won’t go wrong having her to look after your house and garden.

We are so happy to of found Deb to care for our energetic Opi. The weather was not the best whilst we were on holidays, with lots of storms at home we know Opi can get very anxious which added a layer of complexity for his care and we appreciate her honest feedback. Deb had great communication with us sending us regular updates and photos about how Opi was going which we loved. On returning home the house was left spotless, even cleaner than when we had left it and Opi was very happy.

Deb minded our place in SE QLD for 3 weeks mid 2025 including caring for our 11 y.o dog. Did an outstanding job even tidying up after big storm went through. We were kept updated on how things were with photos and descriptions of what they’d been up to. Deb left our home sparkling clean and a I genuinely think the dog probably would have preferred to go with her !! I have no hesitation in recommending Deb for any future sits and we hope if we are ever away for an extended period.

What can I say about Deb? She is just absolutely wonderful. She sat for me for 11 days in June while I visited Tasmania. She looked after my gorgeous cat Kiki, who absolutely adored her. Kiki was spoilt beyond words, played with every day, and I was updated regularly with photos and descriptions of what Kiki had been up to. Deb left my home sparkling clean and smelling beautiful. I have no hesitation in recommending Deb for any future seats, I certainly would be hoping to use her services again.

Deb was an excellent house/pet sitter-trustworthy and reliable. We arranged 2 meet and greets before the sit and I knew straight away Deb would be perfect by the way Cinder reacted to her. Deb was extremely informative about the service, excellent communication and kept me updated with regular texts and videos which was incredibly reassuring as it was my 1st time away from Cinder. Deb was extremely respectful of being in my home, followed 'instructions' I left regarding Cinder's care.

Debra was very professional from the very first contact. Communication was excellent throughout the pre visit and during the house sit. Debra cared beautifully for our cats and our home. Regular updates and photos, videos helped keep us content and assured all was well while we were away. Confronted with a couple of issues, Debra was efficient and very helpful in solving the problems. Debra is a lovely genuine person who was a joy to have in the house. Deb came and visited the boys before the sit and she had a very calming presence, which works well with high energy crazy doggos. Unfortunately it rained most of the time during the sit but Deb still managed to keep the boys entertained and out of trouble for the most part, which is no easy feat without the regular walks 🤣. Deb remained in contact throughout and I came home to a spotless house and 2 smiling dogs. Enzo and Koby are looking forward to having Deb come back to hang with them.

I can not express highly enough how absolutely blown away we were with Deb from Happy Tails Housesitting. Her care and commitment to our house sit was beyond any expectations we had. Deb cared for our Horses, Wierdo Great Dane, very annoying stick dog, entitled cat and noisy chickens so very well keeping us updated and sending photos. My home was pristine when I returned. Deb is a true animal lover this is apparent with her ability to read and understand all your animals.

Deb was a very good house sitter, she looked very well after our house, Lilly and chickens. Even we were far away, I'll always get sent updates and photos. It looked like Lilly is not missing us at all. We could really enjoy our holidays knowing everything is taken care of. When we returned, the house was very clean, even the lawn was mowed, garden maintained. I will use Deb again any time if she's available, highly recommend her.

Deb did a great job looking after our two fur babies (Ridgebacks) and house for 4 weeks of our overseas holiday. She constantly keep in touch with us with "whats app" with lot of video and photos. The dogs just loved her, as she walked them and intereact with them in a very playful manner. The house was left in an immaculate manner with everything in its place and clean. Have no hesitation in recommending Deb for house and dog sitting. Did a great job.

We absolutely loved having Deb look after our house and our naughty labrador. Deb arranged a meet and greet before the sit, and it was immediately obvious that she loved dogs and would take great care of our boy who has some special medical needs. Our house was immaculate when we returned and I couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend Deb, we’ll have her back in a heartbeat.

Deb was fantastic!! We went away for a weekend and had no worries whatsoever about our home or the dogs. We received photos and videos and even she even got followed up on dodgy instructions from us. Deb from Happy Tales is a true professional with a genuinely special connection to furry friends. Our black lab Taika had a fantastic month in Deb's care whilst we were away in Europe. Excellent communication to arrange everything prior including a video call to meet our pet in advance. Happy Tales helped us feel at ease whilst we were away and we came back to a very happy pup with a wagging tale and an immaculate house. Highly recommend Happy Tales for future house and pet sits. Well, what can I not say about the wonderful Deb? Deb took care of our girls as well as our home for just over 3 weeks. We were updated regularly with wonderful videos and gorgeous photos from Deb who reassured us that all was well whilst we were away. We spoke to Deb over the phone and then met her in person a couple of weeks before the sit and both times, we felt so at ease. We left a rather big list of jobs to handle which Deb managed with ease. Whilst we were away, we did not feel any worry whatsoever. On our return home, our house was lovely and clean. She even kindly left us some fresh milk in the fridge which was much appreciated. We would highly recommend Deb for a housesit. She is a gorgeous person who you can totally trust. Thanks Deb.
