We are a couple who have been together for eight years, originally from the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We are active people, but we also truly appreciate the calm of a cosy home, a good book, and a cup of tea.
We have been in Australia for about a year now, and over the past three months we stayed in Albany, WA, where through Facebook we found a fantastic opportunity to do pet/house sitting for a wonderful dog named Simba.
Both of us grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds. Personally, at my parents’ home in Italy I have four dogs, they are my life, and what I miss the most about home. Pasquale, on the other hand, grew up on a small farm, surrounded by chickens, cows, pigs, and of course kittens and puppies that were always by his side.
When we started our journey in Australia, we couldn’t have imagined how much we would miss having a furry friend close to us. That’s why we decided to look for opportunities that would allow us to keep travelling around Australia while also sharing the love and care we have for animals.
We are now approaching the end of our time with Simba, and given how successful and rewarding this experience has been, we would love to find a new one, this time on the East Coast, as we are keen to explore that part of Australia as well.
Our plan is to be in Queensland from the end of March, although we are flexible with dates, as we are travelling with a camper-converted car. Read more...
