About Us – Beth & Chris

Hi! We’re Beth and Chris — a friendly, responsible couple who have just moved to Perth. As we start this new chapter, house sitting gives us the perfect opportunity to find our feet, explore the local area, and settle-in to Aussie life.

We have already secured a number of house/pet sits but are still looking for others to plug any gaps we may have (there are not many left now in 2025). We are also keen for longer term sits in 2026, but will consider anything which is right so please do reach out (as will we).

Between us, we’ve always been surrounded by pets, including rescued ones, and caring for animals is something that’s always come naturally. Beth has a background in ecology and environmental science, and has worked on conservation projects around the world — from the UK, to Indonesia, Borneo and Africa — caring for wildlife and supporting environmental efforts - so is extremely comfortable and familiar with settings and animals of all kinds.

Beth has spent a lot of time in Australia over the past fifteen years too, experiencing the lifestyle and landscape of Australia, both traveling and working all over. Our most recent visit, together, was in December 2024, when we spent four weeks within country and confirming that Perth was where we wanted to plant roots.

We both love the outdoors — hiking, swimming, beach walks, gardening, and being in nature. We love music, sport and travel too, and just experiencing life - we're really the sorts of people who are up for anything - we love a good laugh!

Beth now works as an Urban and Regional Planner, whilst Chris works in Orthotics, specifically specialist seating for severely disabled individuals. Chris has a job secured in WA already (within his sector) and will be starting in November; Beth will look for work (notably to help solve WA housing and urban/env issues!) once we have arrived, but it will work around petsitting needs (in a nutshell, we are not ever going to leave your pets alone for hours on end/their needs not met).

As previous homeowners, as well as landlords and rental tenants ourselves (yes, we’ve been on every side of it!), we understand how important it is to feel your pets and property are in safe, caring hands. You can count on us to treat your home with respect and give your animals all the love and attention they deserve. We would expect it so would reciprocate.
