Hi, I’m Yasmin.

I’m a long-term partner to Elliot, and together we’re relocating from Perth to Melbourne in December for our next chapter and adventure.

We’re a wholesome, easygoing couple who love a good mix of exploring and enjoying the simple things in life. We love travelling, going for walks, cooking, listening to music, reading, spending time outdoors and discovering new places. We’re just as happy having a quiet night at home as we are getting out and exploring somewhere new.

I’m an Early Childhood Teacher working with children with additional needs, and Elliot works in recruitment. We’re both responsible, reliable and naturally caring people, and looking after others is a big part of our everyday lives.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a hobby farm with dogs, cats, chickens and horses, so caring for animals has been second nature to me from a young age. I’ve also cared for pets with medication, special diets and individual needs, and I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes. Elliot grew up with pets too and is a huge animal lover, so caring for animals is something we both genuinely enjoy.

Between us, we have over 10 years of experience caring for other people’s homes and pets, both formally and informally.

We have a home of our own that we absolutely cherish, so I understand how personal your home is and how much trust it takes to hand it over to someone else. We’re very tidy, respectful, non-smokers, drink rarely, and would treat your home with the same care and respect we give our own. I take pride in leaving a space clean, cared for and just as I found it.

We’re also leaving behind our beloved cat, Billie, when we move to Melbourne. She’ll be living happily with my parents on our family farm, so I genuinely understand how important it is to know that your pets are safe, settled and loved while you’re away.

Elliot will be working in Melbourne’s CBD while I won’t be working, so we’ll have plenty of time and flexibility to give your pets company and keep up with their usual routines. We don’t have a car, so we’re particularly interested in longer-term sits that are well connected to Melbourne.

For me, house sitting is about much more than having somewhere to stay. I genuinely love animals, caring for a home and becoming part of a little routine for a while. I know how much trust is involved in leaving someone with your home and your pets, and I would never take that responsibility lightly.

We value clear communication, trust and reliability, and I’m very happy to provide references, identification and anything else you need to feel comfortable welcoming us into your home.
