I’m Eileen and my husband is Colin. I’m Irish and my husband i s British/Irish. We live in rural Somerset UK. I’m a retired special needs teacher and my husband is a university professor. My husband requires a quiet space to work during the day, to keep in touch with his students and their studies, house sitting and keeping pets company would be ideal for this.

We’re parents of 3 adult children and twin grandchildren. Our grandchildren live in Sydney, where we are frequent visitors.
We’re out-doorsey people and love travelling, hiking, swimming, and love to attend music festivals, at one festival we work as campsite guardians.
We’ve always kept cats and previously dogs for 25 years. One of our dogs was deaf and one was epileptic, both of which required additional care. Whilst our children were young we kept goats, pigs, hens, geese and goldfish. For one year we kept a lady’s sheep, goats and a donkey for her on our small holding. We often look after friends cats and dogs, whilst they are on holiday, the cats we visit twice daily and the dogs stay with us. We’ve had friends stay at our house as animal minders whilst we’ve been away. Recently we looked after a dog for 4 months whilst he awaited his passage to Australia.

We are both capable and very house trained., are non-smoker and consume little alcohol. We can provide references and have excellent references from our AirBnb stays. Read more...
