About Us – Tirza & Elmar

Tirza, originally from the Netherlands, has called Australia home for over 40 years. She’s spent time working on a permaculture farm where she brings a gentle, calming energy that animals naturally respond to. She has cared for chickens, ducks, geese, goats, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs, ferrets, mice, fish, snakes and birds plus more and loved every moment of it.

Elmar is originally from Venezuela, with German roots, Back home, he shared his life with a beautiful Labrador and even a monkey as a teenager.

We honestly communicate and talk to all the animals and cuddle nearly every dog we meet on the street and beach. They seem to sense our energy of peace, calm, love and gravitate toward our energy.

We are spiritual and grounded — practicing daily meditation, yoga, and living in alignment with the natural rhythms of life.

We love exploring new places, connecting with new people, and equally appreciate our quiet time in nature — whether by the sea or in the mountains.

Tirza enjoys swimming and dancing, while Elmar is a passionate surfer, rock climber, and lover of the outdoors.

We are reliable, honest, and will care for your home with deep respect and attention. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we are more than happy to provide references on request.

To do a house sit (with fish) is free. To do a house sit plus feeding and walking pet(s) is $30 per pet, per night (if there is more than 3 pets, we can negotiate and come to an arrangement, depending on requirements.
