🐾 Hi! We're Brodey & Emerson

We’re a newly married couple from New Zealand spending the next year exploring Australia — our plan is to try different areas, meet lots of animals (and people!), and hopefully find our favourite spot to settle down in 2026.

Emerson works remotely as a research fellow, so he’s home most of the time and great company for pets who love having someone around. I’m a paediatric nurse and will be doing a mix of flexible contract work and working from home too — which means we can both give your pets plenty of love and attention.
We’re both huge animal people. While we haven’t used a house sitting site before, we have been lucky enough to be the designated family and friends pet sitter for years. We’re comfortable with animals of many ages and temperaments, and we’re confident your pets will warm to us and be as at ease as possible in your absence. We are also more than happy to send you photos of your fur babies throughout the stay to keep you updated!

I also really enjoy plant care — indoor jungles and veggie patches, I’m more than happy to water, prune, and keep things thriving while you’re away.

We haven’t lived on a farm, but neither of us is afraid of getting our hands dirty. We’re open to all kinds of spaces — rural, coastal, urban — and we really value the opportunity to experience different ways of living while helping others feel at ease leaving their home behind.
