Hey I'm Brad.
I’m a Sydney barrister of more than 35 years’ experience(primarily in family law around Australia) and more recently a commercial skipper operating passenger vessels in Sydney and the Kimberley. Both roles demand absolute reliability, calm problem-solving under pressure, and the responsible stewardship of other people’s property. In recent years I’ve taken the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Australia, and my work now gives me considerable flexibility as to where and how I choose to spend my time.
My sits have ranged from suburban homes and apartments to substantial rural properties, including around 80 cattle, 1,500 poultry and various domestic animals. I’m fit and practical, with solid experience in property maintenance, gardening and mechanical work, and I’m comfortable dealing with whatever unexpected issues arise.
I’ve had dogs and cats all my life, most recently my much-loved pug, Pepe. Every animal has its own personality and routine, and I adapt to theirs rather than the other way round.
I know that handing someone your home and animals takes real trust. My job is to make sure you can go away knowing everything is properly looked after, with updates as often as you’d like. I approach this with every sit, including the care I take with animals, homes and gardens and my habit of fixing things that need attention.
I usually sit on my own. If a companion will be travelling with me, I’ll tell you when we first speak, so you’ll always know exactly who is staying in your home.
Christmas & New Year: I’m back in Sydney from November and keen to sit in Sydney or further south over the holiday period. I’m also open to longer-term sits elsewhere in Australia.
