We are a semi-retired couple, having been married for 41 years (non-smokers). Our calendar for 2018 is filled up for house sits, including through the month of January 2019. We do appreciate the confidence in us. We are now in the middle of booking house sits after January in 2019. Having had our first house sit back in December 2007, we have become experienced at house sitting. We take care of pets as well as farm/ranch animals. We have also looked after a holiday guest house, with managerial-marketing and cleaning responsibilities. We have been granted the use of cars or trucks, on some house sits: which we use wisely and sparingly. We have looked after cats, dogs, chickens, horses, and birds; and we can certainly walk dogs, once or twice a day as requested. We feed the pets as the owners request, according to the guidelines. We have also given pets medication as well as insulin shots. On some house sits, we have had several dogs and cats to look after. Having had our own cleaning business and sold it in the past, we do maintain and clean the home for the duration of the house sit. We use internet for our self-employment, part-time work. We have had experience in solar power, with inverters, battery back up, and daily recording, as well as rain water tanks. We are, therefore, careful with the use of power and water. As we arrive by trains, buses, then walk, or get collected, we have no problem walking for nearby shopping. We can even walk 20-30 minutes for a bus or to shopping. We know the importance of security and being at the house most of the time and especially at night. We have references on this site; please take note. We can be interviewed by internet link, wherein we send the link on the day and time agreed. It is always a joy to maintain gardens or potted plants. Furthermore, we have a policy once a commitment is made and booked not to cancel, unless of course there might be a severe health emergency, but not for perceived better dates; this is what we understand some sitters have done. With exercise and healthy eating, though, we are in very good health.
