More information about this house sitter

We are a semi-retired couple with part-time work on the internet. We have been married for 43 plus years; and we are non-smokers. As we had our first house sit in December 2007, we have become quite experienced at house sitting. In scheduling house sits, we often accept mid to long term house sits, with 3 weeks minimum; but we sometimes take short term house sits (1-2 weeks to fill-in our house sitting calendar) and are happy to do so. Being a couple, we have even been asked to overlap for a few days with more than one one house sit if not far away. We are quite experienced in taking care of cats, dogs, birds, fish, as well as farm/ranch animals (horses, chickens, etc); and we can definitely walk dogs, once or twice a day as requested. We have also had some experience in horse rugging. Besides feeding chickens, we have let chickens out in the morning and made sure chickens are in at night. We feed the pets and farm animals as the owners request, according to the guidelines. We have experience in giving pets their medication as well as insulin shots. Having had our own cleaning business and sold it in the past, we do maintain and clean the home for the entire house sit (see our reviews). We also have much experience in managing Airbnb, with change over cleaning duties. We do have our own Telstra portable internet, as a back up, if needed. We also have had experience in solar power, with inverters, battery back up, and daily recording, as well as rain water tanks. We are careful with the use of power and rain water. We know the importance of security and being at the house most of the time and especially at night. We have our own van; but we have been asked to occasionally use cars/trucks to have them driven: which we use wisely and sparingly. Please take note of our references on this site. We can have a face to face interview via internet. Enjoying gardening, we are quite happy to maintain gardens, potted plants, and do mowing. Moreover, we have a policy once a commitment is made and booked not to cancel, unless of course there might be a definite significant health emergency.
