G'day!

Gordon here. I spent the last couple of years learning how-to, and building our motorhome and van conversions. Samantha works for the firies and gets deployed all over the state. I built her a home office / camper to be mobile while the truck is the home base. The truck is completely off-grid, self contained and self sufficient. It needs nothing more than to sit on a plot of land or driveway and soak up our Aussie sun for the duration of the house sit. Thus, we more often than not won't be using your home, but will be on-site to look over your homes needs, your pets' needs and be present. It's covered in solar, filled with batteries and has permanent starlink and external CCTV cameras all around that you will be able to login and view at any time.

We are both dog lovers, and we refused to move into the truck until our furs moved on from their old ages. We've had 3 ex racing greyhounds, a mini foxy and a Pomeranian chihuahua in our 15 years together. We love all breeds! Unfortunately, Sam is quite allergic to cats, but I'm totally fine there.

We've been renting a space of land for well over a year now to park and build the truck; I'm sure I'll get a glowing reference from the owners if required.

You won't find me on social media at all, off-grid and disconnected is largely the goal for a calmer, slower way of life. I don't know how negatively that may affect prospective house sits, but hopefully after a couple of sits under our belts we'll have a good few references here on mindahome!

I'm also signing up for petsitters, but house sitting and filtering by opportunities in the country certainly lends itself to having a spot to park the truck.
