Hi, I'm Jodi. I'm a mature, friendly and independent woman from Adelaide, and I'm at a stage of life where I'd love to explore more of South Australia through house sitting.
I'm naturally a homebody, which is where my profile name comes from. I enjoy having my own space, cooking, pottering around the house and garden, and spending time with animals. I'm very comfortable with my own company and don't need to be constantly out and about to enjoy being somewhere new.
I have many years of experience running a household and caring for both people and pets. I'm practical, responsible and house-proud, and I understand what a big thing it is to trust someone with your home and animals while you're away. I would treat both with the same care and respect I give my own.
I have cats of my own and am particularly comfortable caring for cats, but I'm also happy with dogs whose exercise and care needs suit me, as well as chooks and other small animals. I'm comfortable following feeding routines, medications and the little individual habits that come with much-loved pets.
I'm especially drawn to country towns, rural properties, the Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Murraylands and Fleurieu, although I'm open to discovering other parts of South Australia too. I'm not looking to race around sightseeing every day — for me, the pleasure is getting to experience a different place for a while and simply living there.
I value clear communication and will happily keep you updated while you're away. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy having animals around me — their presence gives a warmth to a space that sometimes people can't. So rest easy knowing I will care for your animals as my own. Read more...
