I’m a 42-year-old mum to a beautiful three-and-a-half-year-old boy, and we are both genuine animal and nature lovers. My son is a gentle, sweet-natured little boy who adores animals, particularly dogs and cats, and we would love the opportunity to care for your home and pets as though they were our own.

The Mornington Peninsula is a very special place to us. Portsea was our primary residence for around 18 months, and we still return to the Peninsula most weeks. We know Portsea, Sorrento, Red Hill, Merricks and the surrounding areas extremely well and feel completely at home there. We love the simple Peninsula lifestyle — walks along the beach, exploring the local area and spending time outdoors.

I have owned and sold three of my own properties and am extremely house-proud, clean, organised and respectful of other people’s homes. I have also worked in prestige real estate on the Mornington Peninsula, working closely with homeowners and helping to care for and beautifully present their homes for open inspections. I have also provided housekeeping services in private homes, so I understand the importance of treating someone else’s property with the same care and respect I would give my own.

I’m also a very experienced pet owner. I had my much-loved Beagle and Siberian Husky for eight years and have had dogs and cats throughout my life. I’m confident with feeding, walking, routines and general pet care, and particularly conscious of making sure animals feel safe, secure and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine and needs, and I’m very happy to follow an owner’s instructions closely.

We enjoy walking every day, particularly along the beach and around the local neighbourhood, so dogs who enjoy regular walks would fit very naturally into our days. Where appropriate and permitted by their owners, we would also be very happy to include a dog in our outings and give them plenty of companionship and affection.

Because I have a young child, we are best suited to gentle, child-friendly animals with a known good temperament. My son is always supervised around animals and is being raised to treat them gently and respectfully.

We are comfortable caring for dogs, cats, fish and other household pets, and we also love horses and country properties.

House sitting gives us the opportunity to spend more time in an area we genuinely love while giving homeowners the reassurance that their home and much-loved pets are being cared for by someone mature, responsible and attentive.

I would love to become a trusted house sitter for owners who want to go away knowing their home is being respected and their pets are safe, happy and receiving plenty of company and care.
