I get lonely without pets

I've grown up with pets all my life, and it get's lonely by myself and would absolutely love to have furry companions to care for and talk to/cuddle and pet. I'm currently doing work from home via career change after returning from overseas travels, so I'm home most hours to keep company. Non-smoker, 54yo professional male.
