I am a non-smoking retired vegetarian, and have taken care of almost every kind of pet or farm animal, with great results. I did local pet and house sitting for decades before going international. I have been all over the planet since then.
I have done sits in about 30 countries over the past 20 years, and have experienced all sorts of animals, breeds, homes, and circumstances. Animals love me, and they immediately warm up to me, even if their owners may say that they can be problematic. I love dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, hamsters, you name it, we always get along great.
I am extremely reliable and dependable, and my credit score hovers right around 850 most of the time, so I am also quite responsible with my money and other people's possessions.
I am very clean and also a very experienced handyman - I have built and renovated homes for years. I have done several small repairs for homeowners along the way. I just installed a kitty door for an owner while I was there. I am also a great gardener, I have all sorts of fruit trees and bushes at home, and they all thrive. So even if you just need some watering, I'm your guy.
Another attribute that I think is helpful is that I speak Spanish fluently, and working on my French, Italian, Portuguese, and German, and have held my own in these languages after living somewhere a while. I have also dabbled in a few other languages. In addition, I have many decades of savvy travel experience, so I know really well how to adapt to local public transit, find my way around a town, find markets, manage flights, trains, buses, ferries, etc.
I am a creative person - musician, writer, dancer, architect, so I do sometimes spend a lot of time at home working on my projects, and like to cook. I do also like to go out and engage with the locals to experience a new country, town, and make new friends. Most homeowners think that I am entertaining, and love to hear my travel stories.
I also have a partner that joins me when people request a couple to do a sit. We work very well together. I personally don't have any of my own pets anymore because I am on the road most of the year, so I really look forward to showering your fur babies with love, affection, and care.
