I’m just now retired having managed Retirement Villages across Aus and NZ, and before that, I managed resorts and boutique hotels and have a sound experience in Housekeeping / Maintenance/Gardening & Grounds - and in remote locations it was very hands-on. I’m house proud and have impeccable rental references. My work also required a high level of security clearance so I hold a valid WWVP card.

I don’t have any family so I won’t be called away for any family emergencies, baby sitting grandchildren, etc. that I know can sometimes upend sitters. I’m old school and my word is my bond, and you can be confident that I will honour commitments & allow you to leave knowing your home and “family” will be loved.

I enjoy gardening, some movie binge-watching, cooking (ex-chef before crossing to the dark side into Management positions) and music, so I’m happy to be a stay m-at-home caretaker. My ultimate goal is to head off to SE Asia in about 12 months, but for now I’m winding down here in Oz with sitting along with road trips.

I have a lot of experience caring for pets in their homes. As manager in a retirement village, sadly residents sometimes were admitted to hospital without warning. Their pets were often left alone before family could help so I could step in and offer comfort. I was however unable to have my own fur babies as I need to be flexible for work, with regular moves interstate and overseas precluding me having pets of my own. But from childhood on farms, and having all critters from pet mice, kitties, dogs (from Great Danes to Pugs) lizards and birds, I can handle every pet with confidence. Also trained horses for a living back in the day… so no problems there.

Now I may not be like your cool cousin who’s just come back from Bali, or the world travelling musician who’s offering to move in and look after things. I’m going to be more like your Auntie Ruth who dusts every day and is a bit OCD. But who would u prefer when it comes to your home and critters?
